A new version of Firefox was released last night and fixed some security issues that no one seems to take the heat for, but the Mozilla foundation seems to be stepping up and fixing the problem.
The update will automatically update your Firefox, which may cause some problems.
Problems in the sense that most of my add-ons are incompatible with the new version of Firefox and since I've already updated, I'm already having problems with my status bar and weather updates.
If you're looking for an email replacement to MS Outlook, you may want to consider Thunderbird 2.0. It was released yesterday and showcases a lot of new features. Check it out.

For those who followed my post on How to create your own TiVo, MythDora 3.0 was updated this week to version 3.1 (there was a bug in 3.0) and the version of MythTV included is 0.20, the latest and greatest.
I'll be looking into upgrading my version to 3.1 this weekend, but I wonder if it will be easy enough to go to MythDora Tools and just select Update.
My guess is no. :-)

Back in September, I talked about Songbird as an iTunes alternative. Since then, I've been waiting for the extensions to emerge.
Now, Songbird 0.2 is released with extensions. Since it builds off of the Firefox extensions architecture, the music extensions should will be familiar to Firefox users.

I've never heard of MochiKit, but it contains an additional module called Mochi.Signal, which is a simple universal event handling, simplifying JavaScript event handling tremendously.
